Women in "menswear" #OOTD

Women in "menswear" #OOTD

The other day I got stopped in these NYC streets to get some photos taken of my outfit.

I was walking down the street with my co-worker AJ(@ajgxnzalez) & I noticed a photographer was taking photos of us. We got closer and he said he loved my outfit and he asked if he could take some photos of me. Of course I said yes and I he took these great photos.

Recently I have been wearing a lot of "menswear" looks and I have been really enjoying putting the outfits together. I love a woman in a suit or a blazer situation, it is one of my favorite looks a woman can wear. Whether she wears it with heels, some shoes, sneakers, boots, whatever... I love it.

When putting this outfit together I knew I wanted to wear a blazer, that is the first piece I started off with. Then we went with the white button down to play off of the pinstripe blazer. I then decided to style the look with some jeans to make it a little casual but then I added a tie to dress it up again. I threw on a black belt to compliment my white and black loafers. The final touches of the outfit was the wicker bag which made the outfit a little more fun and you know my finishing touch is a pair of shades(I love eyewear). The contrast of the navy blazer with the green tie is my fave.

One of my favorite styling moments in a movie is from "A simple favor". I love all of the outfits Blake Lively wore in that movie, it was "menswear" heaven. She looked so great in everything and it was styled to perfection. Definitely some inspo for some "menswear" looks I want to do.

Two of my favorite looks that she wore would have to be the white pinstripe suit and a navy pinstripe suit. I loved the white suit because she wore no shirt underneath and the bowtie was hanging just around her neck. Also the cane as an accessory was so good. The navy pinstripe look was so chic, then we added in the fedora and the pop of royal blue shoe, I loved everything about both of these looks and Blake looked great in both.
