Back in January I got an idea in my head to create a fashion shoot with my favorite muse Erika. I visually saw us in a cool setting just looking fire. I then was able to visualize the concept and create the looks I saw in my head. At that time I had my faux locs in and Erika has locs, so I saw us having our hair in a top bun.
The theme of this shoot was us being opposite but similar, hence the "Opposites attract" title. My inspiration would definitely have to be ChloxHalle and Janet and Teyana.
We shot this in February to create something in Black History Month but I knew I wanted to drop it in March for Women's History Month. The looks were very powerful, it gave feminine and masculine energy, which I love to embody in my looks.
There was some suiting, metal jewelry, platform boots and two fire black women.
I hired one of my favorite photographers to work with, Kemall. As soon as I was creating this shoot I saw in my vision Kemall shooting it for me. And he did a great job.
I also wanted to create a video visual, something that I always love to do. I love music videos, music and editing so I always try to record videos whenever I can.
I saw this visual in my head with the ChloexHalle track "Forgive me" in the background. I saw each part of the video in my head before it was filmed, so to see everything come together now, I am so happy!
I also want to give a huge shoutout to Peerspace for always helping me find dope places to shoot at.
I found this great location called, "Osiris Room", there was 5 different rooms set up in different themes to shoot in. I love that space!

One of my favorite rooms was definitely this Vibe magazine room. I loved all of the covers all over the walls. As soon as I saw this room I thought about the Vibe magazines I had and how I could incorporate it into the shoot.
